Ole Miss stays hot, clinches series at LSU
After Friday’s game was postponed due to weather, Ole Miss starter Dylan Delucia, to much surprise, returned and delivered a gem going 7 innings allowing 3 and striking out 9. Each team would score 1 run after resuming and the Rebels would take game 1 by a final of 5-3.
Game 2 would also go the Rebels’ way as they posted crooked numbers in 3 of the first 4 innings. Elko, Bench, and Graham all blasted home runs as Ole Miss would win 11-1.
Carolina blanks Kentucky, secures series
Gamecock starter Noah Hall delivered a brilliant 8 inning performance allowing just 2 hits and no runs in the win. At the plate Brandt Belk led the way with a 3-hit, 3 RBI day as USC won 7-0 claiming the series.
Georgia salvages finale against Vols
After clinching the outright SEC crown and weekend series the day prior, Tennessee continued their rotation shakeup in an effort to rest starters as flame thrower Ben Joyce got the start. The Georgia offense ultimately chased Joyce with a 3 run 4th before adding another big inning, a 5 run 7th, to decide the game. 8 of the 9 Bulldog starters recorded a hit.
Deja vu as Aggies comeback late again
In a similar result to Friday, A&M bullied the Bulldog bullpen with 5 runs in their last 2 innings to top State 9-6. Aggie reliever Chris Cortez tossed 5 runs in relief allowing 1 and holding the Bulldogs at bay while the A&M offense completed the comeback.
Auburn wins another tight one over Bama
After Alabama’s 4 run 1st put them ahead, Auburn scored in 4 straight frames to score 6 unanswered runs which would be enough to earn the win. 3 Tiger bullpen arms would deliver multiple clean frames in relief as Alabama wouldn’t score again after the 1st.
Missouri evens series at home
After the Gators took the opener on Friday, the Tigers bounced back with a strong performance highlighted by Torin Montgomery’s 3-5 day with 3 runs driven in including a HR. After a solid start from Spencer Miles, Ian Lohse threw 3 scoreless frames to secure the win.
Arkansas, Vandy postponed due to weather
In what was an eventful contest with runs being scored in every inning but 1, Arkansas held an 8-6 lead when the game was suspended. They’ll pick up the game, and play game 3 as scheduled on Sunday.
