SEC baseball pitcher rankings: Arkansas's Noland, Georgia's Cannon challenge Beam for top spot

There's a pack of starting pitchers at the top of our rankings this week, with little to separate them.

1. Drew Beam, Tennessee (2.14 ERA, 63 IP): Has allowed 15 earned runs and none unearned. 

2. Jonathan Cannon, Georgia (2.04, 57.1): Struggled last week in allowing four runs in five innings with just one strikeout, but he should be fine. 

3. Connor Noland, Arkansas (2.77, 68.1): Gave up 11 hits and four runs in his last start over eight innings, but he's still as dependable as they come in the league this year. 

4. Joseph Gonzalez, Auburn (2.30, 54.2): Vols hit him for five runs over seven innings in Sunday's loss. 

5. Chase Burns, Tennessee (2.09, 56): Five innings, one run, nine strikeouts last weekend vs. Auburn.

6. Nathan Dettmer, Texas A&M (3.13, 60.1): Earned SEC Pitcher of the Week for his performance vs. Vanderbilt. 

7. Hunter Barco, Florida (2.50, 50.1): Hasn't pitched in two weeks due to elbow discomfort; no word on a return.

8. Brady Tygart, Arkansas (1.30, 27.2): Freshman closer has been brilliant (22 IP, 0.82 ERA) in SEC games. 

9. Chase Dollander, Tennessee (2.93, 46): He, also, hasn't pitched in two weeks after being struck by a line drive vs. Alabama.

10. Chris McElvain, Vanderbilt (3.53, 58.2): Has been solid (39.2 IP, 4.12 ERA) in SEC play. 

11. Devin Futrell, Vanderbilt (2.11, 42.2): Freshman lefty is the league's best mid-week guy; allows free passes just 4% of the time.

12. Jack Gowen, Georgia (1.38, 26): 38% strikeout rate in all games; 1.20 ERA in 15 SEC IP.

13. Tyler Guilfoil, Kentucky (1.72, 31.1): Has the best strikeout rate (46%) of any pitcher on this list. 

14. Will Mabrey, Tennessee (1.82, 29.2): 16.1 SEC innings, 2.20 ERA; 37% strikeout rate for the season.
