DeLucia's complete game leads Rebels past Mississippi State

Dylan DeLucia threw a complete-game five-hitter, as Ole Miss downed Mississippi State, 4-2, at Swayze Field in Oxford on Thursday evening. Those five hits were the only runners the Rebels allowed, though MSU's Brad Cumbest and RJ Yeager managed home runs.

Hayden Dunhurst and Kevin Graham managed home runs for the Rebels (22-15, 6-10 SEC). Graham's home run was his second since he returned on April 8 following an injury that sidelined him for over a month.

The Rebels raced out to a 3-0 lead in the first on Graham's home run, which scored Justin Bench and Kemp Alderman. All three runs were unearned and came off Bulldog starter Brandon Smith, who allowed just one earned run in six innings of work. Smith struck out nine and walked two.

MSU fell to 22-17 and into a tie with the Rebels for last place in the West.

Berry's two home runs help LSU past Missouri

Third baseman Jacob Berry blasted his 11th and 12th home runs of the year and added a single, as LSU beat Missouri, 5-3, at Alex Box Stadium in Baton Rouge.

LSU (25-12, 8-8) starting pitcher Ma'Khail Hilliard threw seven innings of two-run ball, allowing five hits with seven strikeouts. Paul Gervase got his third save after retiring all four hitters he faced.

Berry connected for his first home run off Missouri (22-13, 5-11) starter Spencer Miles in the first. Tre' Morgan added three hits and two RBIs.

Missouri's Carter Rustad finished the night with 2 1/3 scoreless innings.
