Georgia released its 13-game, non-conference basketball schedule on Thursday, which, most notably, contains Georgia Tech and Memphis.
The Bulldogs open their season at home against FIU on Tuesday, Nov. 9, before taking their first road trip (Cincinnati) the following Saturday.
"Each season, our priority is to build a schedule that will prepare us for conference play," coach Tom Crean said. "I believe we have done just that. We've had an excellent summer building chemistry and camaraderie among our returnees and newcomers. This schedule will challenge us and also allow us to grow before we begin SEC play in January."
The game with Tech will easily be one of the more anticipated games of UGA's season. Tech leads that series, 105-91. Georgia won the last meeting by an 82-78 score on Nov. 20, 2019.
Georgia will also play in the Legends Classic, along with Northwestern, Providence and Virginia, on Nov. 22-23 in Newark, N.J.
That, and the Cincinnati games, account for all the Bulldogs' contests away from home.
Memphis, last year's NIT champ, qualifies as one of the tougher games on the schedule.
