A lot of baseballs have been flying out at Lindsey Nelson Stadium.
In four games at the Knoxville Regional, the teams have combined for 26 home runs.
Tennessee has nine home runs in its two wins over Wright State and Liberty.
The Volunteers belted four home runs in its 9-3 win over Liberty on Saturday to advance to the Regional final. Liberty and Duke will meet on Sunday and the winner must beat the Vols twice.
Liam Spence and Luc Lipcius both smacked two runs in the win over the Flames. Spence led off the game with a home run and hit a grand slam in the second inning. Drew Gilbert also homered for the Vols. The five homers accounted for seven of the nine runs.
Tennessee hit four home runs in the win over Wright State on Friday night, including Gilbert’s walk-off grand slam.
Duke has eight home runs in its two regional games, including six home runs in Saturday’s win over Wright State.
RJ Schreck (4-6, 2B, 3 HR, 5 RBI) cracked three home runs in the 14-6 win over the Raiders.
Peter Matt (4-5, 2 HR, 3 RBI) hit two home runs in the loss to Liberty on Friday.
Wright State hit six home runs in losses to Tennessee and Duke. WSU belted five home runs in the loss to Tennessee, including two homers by second baseman Tyler Black.
Liberty has homered three times this weekend, including a pair of three-run home run by designated hitter Brady Gulakowski in the win over Duke on Friday.
