Ethan Petry and South Carolina run-rule Florida--the Gators once again had trouble throwing strikes--in Thursday's opener as South Carolina now takes sole possession in the SEC East. Arkansas used Dylan Carter and Hunter Hollan and came up short at Georgia, which got a home run from Fernando Gonzalez and a good four innings from Kolten Smith for a 6-5 win. Georgia's RPI is 24, which puts the Bulldogs in a position to make a regional if they can get more league wins. Also, a preview of Friday night's pitching matchups.
