LSU wide receiver Kayshon Boutte will not play for the remainder of the season after suffering a leg injury during the fourth quarter of last week’s game against Kentucky. Things continue to get worse for LSU as they have already seen stud cornerback Derek Stingley suffer a key foot injury.

Boutte burst onto the scene last season as he caught 45 passes for 735 yards and five touchdowns. He was the focal point of the Tigers’ receiving core this season as he had over 500 yards through 6 games and scored 9 touchdowns.

LSU has struggled this season, sitting at 3-3 after a 21-point loss at Kentucky in which the Tigers were shut out in the first half.

Five LSU receivers have over 10 catches, with freshman Jack Bech (20 catches) ranking second behind Boutte.
