This is not the tone and tenor that was expected coming into this matchup between UT & Vandy just over a week ago. This game looked to be one where the Vols would be looking to collect lots of style points and cement their place in the College Football Playoff. This game looked to be one where Vanderbilt wouldn't really have anything to play for. Now, all of that has changed.

Tennessee will be without QB Hendon Hooker who was lost to an ACL tear amid a 63-38 beatdown at the hands of South Carolina. Vanderbilt will be playing for bowl eligibility after defeating Florida and winning back-to-back SEC games for the first time since 2018.

Can Tennessee get back up for this game? Josh Heupel's squad has a lot to prove about the culture of the program in this game. Tennessee is a 15.5-point favorite in what amounts to Vandy's Super Bowl.
