The Arkansas Razorbacks play host to the Cincinnati Bearcats in week 1 of the 2022 college football season. Southeastern 14 brings you a full preview and prediction of this matchup between two programs with tremendous momentum.

Sam Pittman and Luke Fickell are both riding high after successful 2021 campaigns. Each took their program to a new level last season and earned contract extensions.
Both coaches are working to show that the previous year was no fluke. Cincinnati has to replace its top three offensive producers in quarterback Desmond Ridder, running back Jerome Ford, and receiver Alec Pierce. Arkansas has to replace its number one receiver Treylon Burks.

Both teams return a lot on the offensive line. Cinci returns all 5 of its starters from a year ago, and Arkansas returns 4 of its 5 and its quarterback and leading rusher KJ Jefferson. Arkansas also has a 3-headed monster at running back with AJ Green, Dominique Johnson, and Rocket Sanders.

Jadon Haslewood and Matt Landers are big transfer additions for Arkansas on the offensive side and look to ease the loss of Burks.

JQ Hardaway will look to come up big as a freshman corner for Cincinnati against those Arkansas receivers. Hardaway is part of the effort to replace program legends, Sauce Gardner and Kobe Bryant.
