SEC football power rankings, Week Six: Georgia moves to the top

We've got a change atop the leaderboard. 

Here are SEC football power rankings heading into Week 6. 

1. Georgia (5-0): The Bulldogs lead the country in scoring margin (36.4) in games involving only FBS teams.

2. Alabama (5-0): It's really 1a and 1b with 'Bama and Georgia, but defense (4.6 points allowed per game for Georgia, 18.2 for Alabama) gives UGA an edge.

3. Arkansas (4-1): It was an awful weekend, but it says more about Georgia than Arkansas. 

4. Kentucky (5-0): The 'Cats are unbeaten despite a minus-9 turnover margin.

5. Florida (3-2): Two losses hurt, but Sagarin, ESPN's FPI and SP+ still have the Gators as a top-10 team. 

6. Ole Miss (3-1): Lane Kiffin's improved the Rebels, but the gap between them and the top was clear on Saturday. 

7. Auburn (4-1): The Tigers are probably going to go as Bo Nix goes, and that went well at LSU. 

8. Tennessee (3-2): The computers love the Vols more than the se14_prod (SP+ has Tennessee 18th) and they may be right. 

9. Mississippi St. (3-2): All but one of MSU's games have been decided by four points or less.

10. Texas A&M (3-2): Aggie quarterbacks have thrown seven TDs to seven picks and been sacked 12 times, and that explains the season in one sentence. 

11. LSU (3-2): The Tigers are out-gaining teams 369-367 on average, and there's no excuse for that given LSU's talent. 

12. South Carolina (2-2): The Gamecocks are quietly allowing just 301 yards per game.

13. Missouri (2-3): The Tigers are one of just two SEC teams to allow more points (minus-2.2), yards (minus-32) and yards per play (minus-0.4).

14. Vanderbilt (2-3): The Commodores (-minus-19, minus-132 and minus-2.1) are the other, though at least Vandy got a last-second win this weekend.
