SEC Week Five offensive player power rankings: Matt Corral or Bryce Young at the top?

It's the league's two best quarterbacks, and then a field that's tough to separate.

Here's our power ranking of the SEC's best offensive players heading into Week Five. Reputation and production coming into the season is still being considered (especially as a lot of the leagues games have come against bad teams so far) but that's being phased out somewhat as the SEC-on-SEC matchups are beginning to happen. Anyway, here's our ratings for this week with some notes to follow.
1. Matt Corral, QB, Ole MIss: The Rebels were off last week, but Corral's accounted for 14 TDs and 1,155 yards of total offense in Ole Miss's 3-0 start.
2. Bryce Young, QB, Alabama: 1,124 passing yards, 15 TDs, one pick in 'Bama's 4-0 start.
3. Treylon Burks, WR, Arkansas: Huge performance (six receptions, 167 yards, one touchdown) in a huge game last week against Texas A&M.
4. Kayshon Boutte, WR, LSU: Eight touchdown catches on 24 receptions so far.
5. Tyler Badie, RB, Missouri: His 593 yards from scrimmage leads the league; has had over 130 yards in three of Mizzou's four games.
6. KJ Jefferson, QB, Arkansas: Averaging 10.8 yards per pass and 7.9 per rush in leading a team to a 4-0 start and two wins over ranked teams.
7. Tank Bigsby, RB, Auburn: Dipped to 18 carries for 60 yards after going over 100 the first three weeks.
8. Dontarrio Drummond, WR, Ole Miss: Blowouts have limited his production, but he's averaged 118.3 yards from scrimmage over three games.
9. Isaiah Spiller, RB, Texas A&M: He's been a bright spot (65 touches, 451 yards) even in the midst of the Aggies' offensive struggles.
10. Evan Neal, OL, Alabama: PFF grades him well as a pass blocker.
11. Wan'Dale Robinson, WR, Kentucky: 480 yards from scrimmage on an amazing 17.8 yards per touch.
12. Chris Rodriguez, RB, Kentucky: He's leading the league with 522 rushing yards.
13. John Metchie, WR, Alabama: Numbers aren't great (24 catches, 240 yards) but blowouts dictate those things.
14. Jerrion Ealy, RB, Ole Miss: Touches have come sparingly (37 for 281), but Ole Miss is blowing teams out and the biggest games are ahead.
Thoughts:
- What's happened so far won't carry a ton of weight in the end as at least 80% of the games that matter haven't been played yet.
- I've only got one offensive lineman in the ratings this week after having three most of the year. Texas A&M has moved Kenyon Green to guard some, and between the team's performance and the fact he's not playing tackle, that hurts. Kentucky's Darian Kinnard continues to grade at an elite level (as he has for three years) but it's hard to keep a right tackle in the rankings, especially with the numbers some fo the skill players are putting up.
- Toughest guy to leave out was Mississippi State quarterback Will Rogers, whose 1,454 passing yards lead the league. Rogers has also thrown it so many times that this comes out to 6.5 yards per attempt, which is nothing special, and the Bulldogs are also just 2-2.
- He's not the only quarterback to watch. Georgia's JT Daniels will have a chance to earn his way back in, but he's missed a game and didn't get to play much in the Bulldogs' blowout of Vanderbilt. LSU's Max Johnson has thrown for 15 touchdowns and three picks, but it hasn't meant much as LSU lost to the only good team it played and beat three outmanned teams in its other games. Florida's Emory Jones is fifth in the league in rushing (375 yards) and has played well against Alabama and Tennessee, but he's still two weeks removed from a discussion about him losing a job and has four touchdowns against five picks.
